Quote: Mihimaru GT rapper Miyake has announced his plans to make a solo debut. He will be releasing his first single this winter under the name, “miCKun,” along with a follow-up album at the beginning of 2011.
The new name comes from his close friends who have nicknamed him “Mikkun.” He decided to take on a variant of that nickname for his solo debut rather than use his mihimaru GT stage name of “miyake”.
He has already promised that the debut solo album will contain collaborations with many artists, so expectations are high. As of now, no tracks have been revealed yet for the single or album.
We will be sure to keep everyone updated as he releases more information!

Awesome! Ive always wanted miyake to come out and do some solo stuff. Cant wait for it to happen ><

I'm excited. I just hope "the debut solo album will contain collaborations with many artists" means at least one song with Hiroko! Good luck to miCKun! 
...It just makes me think about when Giorgio left So'Fly to form NERDHEAD, but TOKO still came on to do two tracks on the album. And "Never Change" was my favorite song because they have so much chemistry together. I want the same thing with miCKun's new album. That, and some singing from him. Because after the show last December (from the mihimalogy DVD) I've realized Miyake actually has an okay singing voice. I also want his brown hair back. Just sayin'.
ETA: there are two backside photos of Maple on Miyake's blog... I want to see what she looks like!! I bet she's super cute  |
